
About the Role
Stakater is looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer with a solid experience in Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) support to join our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) team.
In this role you will provide outstanding technical support to our customers inside the Managed Services support team. You will work closely with our customers, our Internal teams and Site Reliability Engineering teams to troubleshoot complex and challenging issues, and incorporate customer feedback, making Stakater App Agility Platform an even better offering. The customers you'll interact with will often be the last-level technical contacts on the customer side, like system administrators, architects, and solutions engineers. As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be able to bring your innovative solutions to complex problems. You will get the opportunity to be a part of several Red Hat recognition programs to connect, recognize, and celebrate success.
Requirements
Primary Job responsibilities
Serve as the direct contact and adviser for customer inquiries about Stakater App Agility Platform - SAAP (a.k.a. Red Hat OpenShift as a service) on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and bare metal
Deliver an exceptional customer experience by using professional communication skills, applying existing knowledge and deep troubleshooting to resolve a variety of issues
Partner with Stakater cloud partners to jointly solve multi-vendor customer issues
Constantly work on your troubleshooting skills and keep up with the latest technology trends
Consult raised issues with engineers and developers to promote creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
Contribute to the global Stakater knowledge management system
Cooperate with your colleagues on different projects; be a respected member of the global team
Work in Stakater ticketing systems and tools to directly assist SAAP customers while cooperating with other Red Hat’s engineers and teams
Be available to perform weekend shift duties on a rotational schedule
Contribute to the open source community and to the code of our offerings
Required Skills
Previous experience
Solid Linux experience at a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)-like level excellent system administration skills
Experience working in technical support or in customer-facing roles
Good knowledge of containers, Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Microsoft Azure knowledge is a plus
Solid troubleshooting skills and passion for problem-solving and investigation
Ability to work with conflicting priorities, take initiative, and maintain a customer-centric focus
Ability to work as part of a team, open-minded and cooperative approach
Good communication skills and the ability to listen to customer issues
Desire to learn new things, ability to further grow and enhance your technical and interpersonal skills
Good to have
Scripting language skills or programming knowledge
Upstream involvement in open source projects like patches submitted for upstream inclusion
Red Hat certification
Experience with or certifications in Azure, AWS or GCP
Passion for open source software
Language skills

Compensation
Salary
Up to 60.000 SEK/Month depending on past experiences
