To inform and constrain solution development across an enterprise digital transformation program, the Swedish largest and leading credit information company UC AB needs to provide persistent, value driven, comprehensive and integrated IT architecture.
UC faced the daunting task of transforming legacy applications to operate efficiently within a containerized environment. The need for rewriting applications presented challenges in terms of time, resources, and potential disruptions. Stakater provided a comprehensive solution by deploying a team of skilled platform engineers, devops engineers, and full stack engineers to collaborate with UC's diverse development teams. The primary objective was to facilitate the seamless migration and refactoring of Java-based workloads from traditional virtual machines to modern containerized environments powered by OpenShift.

In the process, Stakater played a pivotal role in establishing a robust hybrid cloud environment. This involved the deployment of OpenShift both on-premises and on AWS, enabling UC to harness the benefits of a flexible and scalable infrastructure. Stakater's expertise extended to configuring and optimizing the OpenShift setup, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization across both on-premises and cloud-based deployments.

Furthermore, Stakater actively contributed to the evolution of UC's development practices by implementing cutting-edge CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.
