Cloud Partner Onboarding Guide
1. Determine business value
Determine if you as a cloud provider can complement Stakater's business model:
Complementing Stakater’s business model either vertically or horizontally
Closely related to Stakater’s core values
Always strive for a win-win situation where both partners gain from the partnership
2. Face-to-face meeting to get to know each other
Set up initial meeting to align on business objectives. The meeting should be held with management representatives and Head of Partnerships.
3. Communication channels
Create a dedicated chat channel, to foster seamless and efficient collaboration between the partners. This will facilitate real-time communication, document sharing, and overall coordination throughout the partnership.
4. Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
If necessary, ensure that both parties sign NDAs to protect any sensitive or proprietary information shared during the partnership.
5. Signup to Create an Account
Let Stakater register and create an account to gain access to services, resources, and tools. This step will provide Stakater with the necessary foundation to start deploying and managing their joint projects. Stakater requests enough free credits for testing and validating SAAP on an ongoing basis.
6. Deploy OpenShift with Hands-On Approach
Stakater sets up the necessary infrastructure, configures the cluster, and ensures its successful deployment. Stakater documents the step-by-step deployment process with detailed instructions, configurations, code-snippets and screenshots.
7. Deploy and Validate the SAAP Add-ons via Hub AppSets
Once the OpenShift cluster is up and running, Stakater installs and validates the necessary SAAP add-ons or integrations that enhance its functionality and align with the partnership goals. Import into the hub cluster and ensure it works.
8. Add Partner Page on the Website
Stakater and partner cloud create a dedicated page on their respective websites that highlights the partnership with the public cloud provider and showcases the joint solutions or offerings. This page can serve as a valuable resource for potential customers or clients seeking information about the partnership.
9. Social Media Announcement
Leverage Stakater's and partner's social media channels to announce the partnership, sharing key details and highlighting the benefits that the joint collaboration brings. This will help increase visibility and generate interest among our respective audiences.
10. Monthly Heartbeat Check-ins with Partner Team
Schedule regular check-in meetings with the partner team to maintain open lines of communication, discuss progress, address any challenges, and align on future plans. These monthly check-ins foster a strong partnership and ensure that both teams are working towards shared objectives.
11. Quarterly Webinar or Marketing Activity
Plan and execute joint marketing activities, such as webinars or other events, on a quarterly basis. These activities provide an opportunity to showcase the partnership, educate the target audience, and generate leads or interest in the joint offerings.
12. Develop a Co-Marketing Strategy
Collaborate on developing a co-marketing strategy that outlines joint marketing initiatives, such as content creation, events, or campaigns. This will help increase brand visibility and generate leads for both partners.
13. Streamline the Cluster Provisioning Process
Once Stakater has established a customer base of more than five on the cloud platform, it's essential to prioritize the automation of the entire cluster onboarding process to achieve a seamless experience for customer onboarding.
